Any other ORIGINAL LSJ owners here?

Original owner of a 2006 SS/SC with now 90K miles. I remember it like yesterday when the dealer grabbed it special for me from NY. I actually got into an accident in 2012 that caused the car to be considered totaled. It meant to much to me and I couldn't let it go so I bought it back for 900 and have been going through the car replacing/upgrading everything ever since. I pop in every now and then as everyone is always super helpful when I am in a bind.

He's definitely thinking of ColeJones guy or something like that. He was in the armed forces and had a red SEMA SS/SC in cali and i thnk he ended up getting an lnf later on.
BTW USMC - used to love watching you bang gears in all your races back in 2006-2007. one of the reasons I picked up my lsj
you were prob only gm stage 2 at the time, but still surprising people out there.

And thanks! I miss rowing the gears in the Cobalt and I kind of miss that place (NW Ohio). I moved back in 2011 and where I am now is redneck city. Everyone drives trucks and seeing a tuner in a sport compact is like spotting a unicorn. Hell, I even have trouble finding worthy races in my old crappy MK2 VW GTI. Sucks hardcore. But hey, the new engine is done and hopefully I'll be rowing gears in DFW soon.
Well look at that... we're like eskimo brothers or something!

Lurked here for a long time. Ending up buying a C6 first then coming back around when I found a cheap 06 SS/SC out of a salvage yard. Haven't done too much to the car outside regular maintenance, HID projectors, HID fogs, intake, exhaust and OTTP RCAB. More concerned with MPG than power with this car. Recently drove it to NC over the summer with over 100k on the clock. Performed flawlessly.

I had a different profile, but didn't log in for a long time and forgot the username and what not, even the email associated with it. So I made this one. Bought my car with 32 miles on it back in September of 2005. 32 miles was my test drive and day with the car. Still going strong.

Definitely not an original owner or poster, but... people say not to buy the first production year of a new model car so that they can work the kinks out, but there's definitely something special about getting it in its first year run. The sense of community you find on forums like this is really awesome, I'm guessing this place was a lot more active back in the late 2000's!

Yeah I took a step back from dealing with a majority of the cobalt community for a long while. And only speak when spoken to, or I'm needed or something haha
Yeah the car is still going very strong. A hiccup here and there, but overall very good, and continuing to build her up and drive it. Waiting for summer!

I'm the 3rd owner of my 06 lsj, I bought it in November of 2013. The 2nd owner of my 05 lsj bought off the original owner last year in March. He "blew" the engine, I bought it for $1000 drove 9 hours to Illinois from Youngstown, Ohio and trailered it home. Spent $350 and the balt was running strong!

I'm still around second owner with less than 18k tho I never posted much but I was always on reading alot of the OG's posts and upgrades. Wicked_ss i believe it was tuned my LSJ back in the day around 07/08. One day some dbag decided that it was a lot better for me to loose mine after 2 1/2 yrs (2012) by putting kerosene in the tank and in between a 2-3 shift @ low speed it popped the motor.
I loved my car had a lot of money anyhow we had our first kid coming then no way to repair and had to say good bye seriously contemplating of buying another after all these years. Considering a speed6 also but my wife knows me all to well I can't shake where my heart truly lies and keeps pushing for me to replace it. I've been checking the forums classifieds but it's been hit/miss. Really want another Lazer Blue
