Armrest for manual transmission

I have posted this question in the "installing an armrest" thread but probby did not get my point accross....I'm bad for that, lol.

According to GM and my dealer, the armrest kit is for automatic versions, that there is no part number for m/t cars. I have a m/t G5 coupe and need to know if the armrest will fit. I don't see why not as a few of you seem to have installed one in your m/t cars. My dealer is fine with ordering me the auto one if I'm sure it will fit. I don't want to go ahead with this and then find out that it will not work in my car. I need to get this over with already as the price of the armrest has been factored into my lease payment so I really need an answer to tell my dealer. Thanks. -Rod.

thats bullshit b/c my 2.4l 5spd has an armrest. armrest has nothing to do with the tranny, it simply bolts into the center console

The ebony arm rest for automatics (not the console) fits our SS|SC. I bought one from the dealer and was told the same thing you were. They don't know and as was just mentioned it bolts right up. The holes are there just waiting for the armrest.

They just tell you that cause it doesn't match up in their computers probably. I guess no one at GM thought that people who drive a manual would want an armrest.

The part number might help...was your armrest for an auto or m/t and what transmission do you have?

I don't have a pic but I have looked at the bolt pattern on my car and it appears to be exactly like my friends G5...she has an SE that comes with an armrest...her car is an auto and it seems like there is no difference on the installation of the armrest whether it's an auto or m/t.

It sounds like GM is just covering their butt somehow by not making a specific part # available for a m/t. I think I can go ahead and get the auto one.

Try looking here:

I am pretty sure the GM part number is 17800082. The site has the other colors

I have an armrest from an '05, gray that I pulled out.
Looking for the longer cupholder piece.

Anyone want to buy my armrest and cupholder?
Let's say $60 for armrest and cupholder plus shipping via fedex.
