Arrival Blue vs Laser Blue??

Arrival Blue vs Laser Blue??
I tried doing a couple searches... and couldn't find an answer.
Can someone tell me if there is any difference between Arrival Blue and Laser Blue?
Q #1) What years were these colours offered?
One of my biggest arguments last year against buying a Cobalt SS, was the fact that one of my arguably favorite colours was not available on the SS...
I would have liked to order one in the awesome light blue metallic hue that you could get on the Corvette or Aveo(!?).
~ I was told that the Performance divisions had done special paint requests in the past, but with the dismantling of that division that there was absolutely no way I could have ordered the car the way I wanted...
(but don't get me started on the extra crap (equipment) that I would have liked to be able to delete from the car's standard equipment list)
So far, from looking here I have come across Arrival Blue and Laser Blue, in addition to the currently available Imperial Blue as blue paint colours available to the Cobalt SS at one time or another.
In my opinion Imperial Blue is too dark for my tastes...
Q #2) What years were Arrival Blue and Laser Blue offered?
I only have '08 and '09 Cobalt brochures at this time, so don't see either of those colours as being available - and with the 205hp rating the LSJ's received, I never really looked into them in the past...
Sorry if I was long winded... I have the tendency to do this.

arrival was only 05, soooo PO'ed about that, was probably the best blue for a cobalt IMHO, since it wasn't offered and I had limited funds, my previous SC was a Victory Red, currently have a blacked out SS/TC. Laser blue was 06-07, 08+ Imperial blue to my knowledge.

can you condense the difference between the two paints?
since you've stated you like one more than the other, I'm presuming you know the difference between the two...
I ask only because I know that GM has many times over offered the same paint, under difference names, but the paint mixing code is exactly the same...

arrival blue is a "brighter" blue makes me think more elctric.. laser blue is darker and has the tendency to look like its a purpley color at time.. i would suggest looking at the arrival blue and laser blue picture threads...

I believe Arrival blue was only on the 2005 Cobalts.
Here is Arrival Blue, its basically an Electric Blue:
'06-'07 models went to Laser Blue, which is a blue with a purplish tint to it.
The 08+ models are "Impulse Blue", which is a darker blue color from what I've seen of it.
Personally I think arrival Blue is the best looking, they should have just kept with that.

I love metallic blues, but so far from comparing the two, I'm liking the Arrival Blue a little more...
What would be even better is if the even lighter blue metallic colour that has been offered on the late model 'Vettes could be had on the Cobalt SS's...
I really appreciate the help differentiating the colours guys!!
It looks like I'm going to keep my eye out for one of two cars (depending on how long it takes to find the right one, at the right price);
A) '05/06 Arrival Blue SS/SC
B) '08/09 Rally Yellow SS
The only option I'm stuck on is the LSD (btw; std on '10 cars)
The thing I have going for me, is I have a TON of patience... it's taken me what five years to even consider buying an '05?!
and I resisted the temptation to buy a Rally Yellow LNF when one was at the neighborhood dealership.....
The funny thing is, if GM had been more forthright with the actual hp numbers of the LSJ Cobalts, I very likely would have signed the dotted line back then for one...
I love the full stage kits for the LSJ cars...
With the published hp numbers I had always thought that the LSJ Cobalt wasn't even comparable to the Neon SRT4...
but i don't like sedans...
and I mean come on, no matter how cool it is, it's still a Neon!!
drivetrain trumps colour choice, but price trumps drivetrain...
now since I'm going to be keeping an eye out for the right LSJ car, my next thing to understand is the Recaro seats - option vs std equipment... I'm going to do a search for this...

when i was at the track ( new england dragway ) the year after i bought the car i had a couple of guys while i was in the pits come up and ask me if it was a stock color and one guy wanted to paint his hotrod that color, and another his honda hatch.
it was the color that really sold me this car back when i bought it and im glad i picked it up.
