Cool Behold the LNF intake manifold on the 2.2

The LNF manifold on the 2.2 for my future turbo build
Red is cylinder head
Green is flange
Blue is manifold
Yellow are bolts

the flange is installed first

a test fit reveled that one of the nubs of the intake manifold was hiting one of the alt wires

so that nub went bye bye

so here it is instaled

oh just for referance both with and without the flange the intake manifold is in the way of the oil filter and the intake manifold will need to be removed to take the oil filter cap off and with this setup you can not use the Stock, LNF, LSJ dipstick. Im going to have to come up with a solution to that...

That filter looks like it should come out easy, just won't be able to use a socket to get it out.

I tried to get it out but it does not have enough room to unscrew all the way so im looking at an oil relocation kit but not till after the build, I am also thinking of ading an oil cooler while I am at it

Just a thought but my girlfriend sugested I just cut half the threads for the cap off so it has less a distance to unscrew, thoughts?

You could try it, because the only thing that seals is the o-ring. It should seal, but you'd have to try it and see.

Probably will still be a bitch, as the filter clips into the cap and that is the longest part and the most restrictive.

Is the transition from the block to the manifold through your plate smooth? It looks like its just stepped out and not smooth?

are you talking about face to face the plate manifold and cylinder head or are you talking about the intake runners? the flange manifold and cylinder head are flush against each other and the intake runners for the flange have to be ported to help match the manifold to cylinder

The runners, like on the inside where the air is flowing... I think you answered it when you say, "and the intake runners for the flange have to be ported to help match the manifold to cylinder."

yeah I have to port match the flange to the intake manifold so I get the most out of using the LNF intake manifold
