Blower motor?

For a while now the blower motor for my heat and air has been making a noise at the 1-3 settings, but once its at 4 it stops. It sounds like it needs to be greased or oiled. Just wondering if anyone has tried to oil it, or do I need to replace the motor to get rid of the noise. I don't plan to replace it if thats the case, but I'm wondering if theres something I can do about it.

You talking about the fan? If so I have replaced it and it still makes noise at low speed. Only fix for me was turn up radio

ya the motors are known to do this... i think the only thing to do is replace them..maybe check your cabin filter? if it's clogged it could possibly put a strain on the motor?

how did GM come up with such a crappy design... i have a 1990 honda accord and the 23 year old blow motor in it is still super quiet..

How hard is it to get at the fan and motor? The cabin filter was replaced 4 months ago.
