CAI, downpipes, catback = rape on insurance?
So yeah, would installing a CAI, downpipes and a catback and reporting it to my insurance cause them to snicker evily and bend me over? Or is it only going to drive my premiums up a couple hundred?
I understand this question has probably already been asked before, but I actually couldn't find any posts here on it.

I do have all of my mods insured though,,, but it's just a number amount, not a description of each mod.
i.e. I have about 6.5g in extra coverage, so I'm not screwed if it gets stolen or incinerated, etc

Well I'd like my insurance company to know that theres added parts on my car that way if I get into an accident, I don't get my insurance dropped on me. I didn't know you could just claim value and not the actual parts themselves.
Arn't they going to ask when you just call in saying "yeah I want an extra 2 grand value added to my car for some new parts... You want to know what they are? Hell no I aint telling you what they are bitch!"

All you need to tell them is make model and vin and when you get in a reck. Meet with the insurance adjuster get him or her (works better with him) a beer sit back tell whats done to the car. If he says we don't cover it then to bad.
You pay to play.

True, but alot of Insurance companies allow you to place additional coverage on your vehicle. With Progressive it's easy, I just update my coverage whenever I add something of significant value. I think right now I have ~6g in additional coverage and it only bumped me like $9/month
