For a basic OBD2 codes I have a $15 bluetooth fob and the Torque app that ran me like $6.
Works fine for what I need but like all cheaper scanners you limited to the basic OBD2 codes and can't access ABS and SRS codes.

I mount an old smartphone on my windshield like a gps with torque on it for information the car doesnt provide. Nice cheap gauges that dont require modification.
So ya for the basics i would listen to cluelessk. It works well for what it is.

I see similar apps for all price ranges on the Play store. Is Torque the best in your experience? Is there a full-access/beyond-the-basics app for a low(ish) price?
Also, is there a particular Bluetooth fob that is best, or will any do?
Sorry if these are stupid questions, but I was thinking of getting an OBDII reader, but this sounds like it does mostly the same for a good bit cheaper.
