The car won't start

The car won't start

I went to the grocery store and when i got back in my car ant tried to start it, nothing, silence, and the damn orange light with the lock kept flashing, does anyone knows how to get the anti-theft off,
thanks, I'm pretty pissed off, it only as 800 km on it

This might be a stupid question but I've had this happen before (not with the Cobalt though). I'm assuming it's auto locks with a key fob? Did you use the key fob to unlock the door or the key? My dad had a Chevy Blazer which would ONLY start if you used the key fob. If you unlocked the doors with a key then it would not start and the antitheft light would stay on.

Yea chances are it has something to do with the anti-theft/alarm system. They have been known to do strange things such as that, so its not uncommon. If the theft light flashes when you try to start it, I'd say its definitely the alarm system disableing the ignition/starter.

Read throught the manual and see if you can find any info on it, chances are you just did something that the theft system found "suspicious"

thanks guys but I just got tired of trying and I resigned myself to look at my car on the towtruck, I'll have news monday morning, and the worst part is the guy who towed my ca did an 8 inch scratch on the hood, it wasn't a good day...

It was a wire that was cut off by friction, so the alarm stayd on, could'nt start the car... it was just a simple defect...
