Question Chrome Bowties?

Can anyone here make chrome Chevy bowties? Basically cut the bowties out of aluminum and have them chromed? It would be a nice money maker and it would make a lot of us happy. I don't want to paint my bowties so hopefully someone can help!

Like the one in the picture but smaller. You know, the same size as stock.

P.S What do you think of this idea?

REAR

It's a bolt on. So you just take a die grinder and cut the 2 prongs off the back, sand them down flush, add thin 3M tape to the back and whalah!

Thanks but no way bro. I don't want to spray paint anything on this car aspecialy chrome!
Spray paint looks tacky IMO! Thank you for your input though, I appreciate it.

That's actually a neat idea. I've been thinking of something to do with my front bowtie, and I'm not normally a fan of chrome but that's not bad. Have you worked with the stuff before? How easy does it go on and how evenly does it dry? Will a few coats of high gloss clear make it shine like the real thing?

I used black paint to paint my bowties on my HHR. Just put some tape around it and painted it. The paint hasen't chipped or anything yet. Have had it on since Feb.

Sorry about the hub caps. Rims are on the way. Should be here next week.

I'm pretty sure it's for a trailblazer. There is so much space where the rear bowtie is that it would fill in some of it. It might look realy good.

Yeah those new carbon fiber bowties are nice but i'm not paying $45.00 to make my bowtie a different color. Not to mention if you are changing the front bowtie you are probably changing the rear as well. That makes the bill $100.00 with shipping.

$100.00 for 2 bowties is nuts. You can buy a 2.8 pulley for that.

The bowties at the top of the thread are like $20.00 each shipped

personally, i like the idea, but i'm not too sure of the chromed part. i think it would look cleaner if it was just the aluminum (brushed or something), and not as shiny as chrome would look.. but thats just me.
