Cobalt buying tips?
Hey guys whats going on. as of right now i do not have a cobalt but i fell in love with the platform since its debut. finally i have a few years of driving experience and the funds to pick one up so this wednesday im going to look at a yellow 2006 sc/ss 40k miles lowered exhaust cai. now besides bringing it to a mechanic is there anything that i can look for on my own ya know to see if its been beaten or abused or if its just not worth the price and to save my time bringing it to my uncles shop or dragging him down to the car. Also i know some people can obtain free car reports if anyone has access to that i would be more than greatfull. well thanks for your time hopefully you can share some knowledge with me if it checks out i look foward to being an active member on the site THANKS AGAIN!

Try taking a VIN to the dealership to see if they can look up service records.
Make sure to run a compression test on all cylinders.
Check the supercharger pulley and injector color to see if it has been modified and maybe take to a dealership to see if it has a tune on it.
Just because you think it's stock doesn't mean it is.
Also take a few pictures of the engine bay, spefically the pulley, injectors, and if anything else looks abnormal and post it on here. We can help a lot.
