Cobalt LT with an SS Spoiler... Wannabe much?
While working today I was brought to intense laughter as a man driving a Cobalt LT coupe with aftermarket tail lights, a high mount SS spoiler, and the rear emblems torn off kept giving it gas and "showing" it off.
I clearly knew it was an LT because his left hand was out the window, no SS body kit, and donut wheels with the plastic covers. As he saw my SS he proceeded to give me a dirty look and speed away. How do people feel about this? If it is something accepted by the Cobalt SS community I would like to know and I'll stop judging. Personally it makes me feel as if he's making Cobalt SS's look bad.
Thanks for reading!

Saw a non-Z24 Cavalier with a SS spoiler once. The car was white and the spoiler was black. I made sure to make him see that I was laughing. Too bad I was driving my mother to the airport in her Terrain.

Hahaha thats even worse, a Cobalt is one thing, but when you have another car with an SS spoiler that's just ridiculous. I'm afraid I'm going to start seeing more SS spoilers on different cars, it's just a matter of time.

I don't think the problem here is that there was an SS wing on an LT Cobalt. I think the problem was the owner's attitude, thinking he's hot **** in an auto-tragic and "looking down" upon actual SS cars.
I certainly see no problem with an SS wing on an LT

Exactly, thank you for clearing that up, I was much more upset about the manner in which he was showing it off than the actual spoiler itself.

You know what would have been hilarious though. Is if his car was built and boosted. Putting out 300 whp. And also. It's not a Cobalt SS community. It's a COBALT community. And making Cobalt SS's look bad? If it's a stock LT I would love to know how

OP was asking whether it was acceptable for a LT with a High Rise TO THINK IT'S HOT **** WHILE ITS STOCK. No real rims, no body kit, etc.
It's a different story if it's pushing 300whp, because that's obviously not stock..
That driver would be making Cobalt's look bad, regardless of being an LT, because of his attitude with the car.
Said driver apparently got sour when he saw a real SS anyway.

He specifically said that it makes Cobalt SS's look bad. So yeah he was specific. If it was a stock LT, don't see how it would make them look bad. Anybody with common sense can see it isn't. And how did he know the Cobalt was 100% stock? Did he look under the hood? I doubt it.
And as for being butthurt, not at all. It's just funny how most who have a SS act like it's the end all be all (And also, I may have said that two or three times at most). And that ruins the community (which is what I was saying, the entire community, not the SS community). That's why I said it's a Cobalt community, because it makes all of us look bad. And if you read two posts above yours, you will clearly see that he said it's not about the spoiler it's about the fact he showed off.
So before you start saying what everyone said, make sure you read them very carefully to make sure they said what you're claiming they said.

Why would you two even argue about such a thing? Sorry if I said "SS Community" I didn't think you would be so critical, And all I was saying is how people can make Cobalts (in general) look bad by making a decently looking LT look like a piece of trailer trash. I personally love the LT's, I had one before I had an SS, but like I "personally" said, I don't like people giving them a bad name. I regret not taking pictures because anyone on this site, whether they have an LT or an SS, would laugh at the man not only for his dumb looking LT modifications, but because of his outrageously arrogant attitude regarding his car. I also know there was no way for me to really "tell" if it was modded, but besides the decor, I have a strong feeling it wasn't. No matter if it was boosted or not, it looked like ****, and the last thing that guy driving it should of done was show it off. Unless he was to show off his engine, as then I would have not given a single care about the exterior, because all that truly matters to me is how well tuned and modded the engine is, and how nice the guy driving it is.

You should take your own advice, bro.
