I ordered directly from the GMPP site. Wish I would have known. I have a question though. I ordered the Engine Exhaust Manifold, 19131972 from them and didn't think about replacing the gasket. Do I need to replace it ? Does the exhaust header flange set - 88958632 work..?? If not, which would I order..?

Thanks.

I have a buyers guide for parts and I swear I saw stuff for the 2.4l. Here is what I found. Nothing specific for the 2.4l. Its the 2006 Ultimate Buyers Guide from Super Street.

GMPP
Ecotec race block - $3417
ecotec neutral balance shafts - $457
ecotec crankshaft - $4400
Ecotec head gasket and O-ring kit - $255
Ecotec piston set - $895
Intake manifold - $inquire
Camshafts - $enquire
Ported heads - $enquire
Cam gears - $enquire
LD9 2.4L supercharger - $2850

Dual exhaust - $469 RKSport

GM Cobalt LS turbo system - $3895 www.hahnracecraft.com

Those are all the performance goodies. So, now we just need to know if which engine those parts are for.

Here is my favorite Defi-Link Display VSD CONCEPT

Damn right! They have the staged kits listed, so maybe GM is farting around on this one, and maybe we will be able to get them at the subjected release dates....

Also, I think I may pick up that manifold or should I wait for TOG or other aftermarket ones?

Kit is listed for Cavaliers and Sunfires. Says nothing about Cobalts there! There may be some changes to the engine. That kit has been out for a few years.

Don't just assume that it will work on the Cobalts 2.2L, there may be some differences.

Just a little FYI!!!

That ported head will NOT work on the 2.0! In fact allot of the 2.2 and 2.4 stuff won't work on the 2.0. They are very specific on certain parts.

the stock gasket is reusable, the downpipe to manifold lead gasket i would replace though... they're like $3 from the dealer

The Cobalts and the J-Bodies with the 2.2 Ecotecs are pretty much the same cars minus the differnce in platforms, so the Superchargers probally will work on both cars.
