i talked to the guy i bought the key/flip fob from, you can get it for chipped cobalts you just have to tell them what year your car is and its all good.

I just got one of these flip keys, they could not get the remote part to work, so i swaped in my spare remote chip. im going to try to get it cut in the morning, ill let you guys know how it goes. there is not a little + on the key so idk, but it was being sold for a 07 G5 GT. I hope it works.

The plus is there if your car is chipped or not, if it doesn't work or your car starts to run funny that's why, if that happens just contact the seller and he'll send you the correct one if they didn't already, I had an issue and the dude will give you your money back and you get to keep the key ext ext

Sub'd for the possibility of having this work with an SS/TC, cuz I've always wanted one of these, plus I'm always getting stabbed in the leg by my key when working.

That's one way to do it.

My idea to get the same result would be to buy a '10 GTI.

they will work with any cobalt the fobs are the same, and you just need to know if there is the plus stamped on your key, if it is your car is chipped, if not then it not, just make sure you tell the seller which one you need

so my dealer could not program the unlock stuff so i swaped out a circut board out of a working remote, then had the thing cut for $2 and programed it myself, works great! kinda flemsy tho, i wont put a key ring on it lol but its cool. and fyi, if you ever take one of these apart, be careful of the spring assembly that makes the key work, it likes to fly out lol.

it is the remote starter on models that have it, but it is just a un-used botton on the remotes for cars that dont have it.
