how old are you, how long have you been driving stick
how long have you been driving the cobalt
how many times have you been to the track
whats your tracks prep like
what altitude are you at
sooooo many factors my man.
anywhere from 14.0 to 16
for your first time out, getting mid 14s would be a nice start.

Elevation : 90 feet above sea level
Concrete pad : 745 feet
Total length (including shutdown area) : 4000 feet
Width of 1/4 mile : 60 feet
Width at shutdown : 60 feet
This is going to be my first time at the track, I am 19 years old and am sick of racing on the streets its not worth it in the long run. Been driving a stick for about a year now, and have owned the ss/sc for a little over 2 months now.

As long as you don't bog horribly, wheel hop like crazy, or break your axels, you should be deep in the 14's.
But seriously, its all in the 60' time; get a good solid 60' and you will be fine.

high 14's the first time there if you are pretty good at shifting. the launch is the most important part of the run. get that down and you are golden.

What should i be launching at for rpms? This is my daily driver car and i do not want my clutch to **** the bed on me. And for shifting if im racing now its usually right before redline should i do nething different like shift sooner.

This car is tricky to drive even for most veterans. My first time with this car was 14.7 and I have plenty of runs under my belt. Mid to high14's should be a pretty easy feat. Like the others have said work on your launch and you should be good. Always remember, as soon as you feel the wheel hop let off the gas until it stops or you will endanger your axles. As far as shifting goes you can make up allot of time with decent shifting. When I shift AT THE TRACK I never take my foot of the gas when shifting the entire way down. That for beginners might be a little tough but it maybe something you can practice at. When I first got my stage 2 with the 2.85" pulley installed I still only ran a 14.5. With some practice I got it down to a 13.5. I hope this helps good luck
