I have raced comp packaged SS/SC's. And another that was faster than hell!!!!! I love the SS/SC but it is a bit heavier, I believe that is the only reason why its a bit slower than the RL. My RL= 2006 Comp package, aem intake. The time I compared my RL to a stock 2006 SS/SC we were both stock as it came. And both of us have the Comp package <G85>

Mind you, C&D got 14.1 and 13.9 out of the '03 and '04 SRT-4, and now 14.1 from the Caliber. I'd say stock for stock Neon and Caliber would run side by side. The Caliber has an advantage with the 6 speed, and a disadvantage with it's brick-like aerodynamics, evening itself out with the Neon.
Said to top out at 155mph, basically the same as the stock Neon. Stock, it will NOT have trouble with traction because of the computer limited boost in the lower gears (Same as the Neon). No word yet on Stage kits for it, but they'll probably do the same crap they pulled with the Neon. (off-road only, warranty-voiding BS)
If you're buying a car purely on looks, then you'll bend to the Cobalt. If you want pure functionality and straight-up more power, the Caliber is it. (Although, dropped a few inches with some body mods to get rid of the hideous-ness, that thing could be pretty sweet. Just remember how eye-lids do a night-and-day difference on how the Neon presents itself)

its 99.5% a drivers race...the Chevy badge might net you a couple better reviews but there is no performance difference.
Plus, the Redline is lighter and has smaller, lighter wheels

Like Denny's front page post, "even when standing still, the Cobalt looks fast", same with it moving.
