Coupla Questions
Hey everyone, I just picked up a 2006 SS and so far i love the car! I do have a couple isses with it though that maybe someone could help me with, first is the cruize control, it doesnt seem to activate properly. I press the cruize button on the left of the wheel and it lights up, then I press the set button on the right of the wheel but i dont get any cruize icon on the dash and its definatly not working, any ideas??
My second question is the rear wing seems pretty floppy when I close the trunk or hit a bump ect, is this just something you live with???
Thanks again guys and girls!

the cruise is the button on the steering wheel. happens a lot on these cars, and as for the wing, just pull the wing off, and re-mat it with "dum-dum" the rubbery gooey sticky stuff they use for sealing door panels
Lol ok guys im getting the point that the spoiler flop is just part of the GM charm.
Now the cruise button...whats involved in fixing it?
First thing that comes to mind is the upper clutch switch. If it has failed (or the bcm thinks it has failed), the cruise will not engage.
Try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes, hook it back up and test. If that fixes it, the cause was likely someone resting their foot on the clutch pedal causing a clutch position sensor fault to be set.
If it fixes it but it fails again, the upper clutch switch may be faulty.
