I emailed Ben earlier. Seems like a nice guy. Ben this is Chris from Jalopnik with the 07 SS.

I had it happen to me and I had the following on my ring: Cobalt Key, Cobalt Fob, Two House Keys.

I have a 07 and never had a issue. Now I want to see if i pull on the key if it will switch the car off.

I wouldnt be so sure I have a 2010 they weren't supposed to have problems with keys getting stuck in the ignition but mine did
Dealer replaced mine anyway Reliable Chevrolet ftw great service staff

I've never said anything, but this issue has happened to me several times with my lanyard and keys. Seems I'll slightly nip my lanyard and the car will shut off. Luckily, the few times it has happened, it's been very low speed. I got smart and moved some things around.

To those that ask, it does not take a full keyring of random **** to do this. Carkeys housekeys ans maybe a garge key will turn these cylinders back
