I agree nothing is invincible and driver mod is huge, then ofcourse there's those people that test of limits and complain when things happen
He also claims Powell went back in time and copied TTR's rotated mount design... So his words are worth sawdust to me.

Thanks John, I agree, redlines do rock!

An update on the mounts, I've driven over 1000 miles on them and they've broken in and I do feel a lot less vibration in the cabin now. Not to say that there was much to begin with (I've had cars with all 3 or 4 mounts were hard poly), but it was definitely noticeable.
Now it's very very smooth - not quite as smooth as the original mounts, but a very small price to pay for keeping the engine in the right place much better.
It took a buddy of mine 15-20 minutes of driving around in the city to notice a difference, and it was at idle.

It will be on the car after I get it back driving and making passes down the track. But shortly after that it will be changed out.

Don't you strictly just run at the strip? Why no go bigger like the 6262 since you don't have the di fueling restrictions or nitrous

Here's mine on YYZ v3's. Mine seems to sit a little higher than yours, or maybe it's just the car color ;-)
Nice wheel choice BTW

Yeah the top ones do seem to sit lower. Seems like what maybe 2 finger fit between the tire and fender on yours colodude?

Yeah, It seems like he's running Koni's and the other 1 is on stock shocks.

I agree. For some reason, mine looks lower than others. I dig how it looks but wish it was a hair higher as my Hahn exhaust (early production model) is the one that wasn't designed around lowered cars so it hits the rear torsion beam sometimes.

Yes, newer FE5 struts/shocks installed around the time of that picture.

Koni's don't make any difference, about 2 finger gap all around.

Yep. Exactly two fingers front and back.

Agreed. When I was still on Sportlines, my "solution" was to duct tape a piece of foam on the spot on the twisting beam where they hit to reduce the rattle. With the YYZ I don't hear it anymore (over the various other rattles, of course lol)

Haha, funny stuff. I was planning on doing the same "solution" actually. Thanks for the images.

Any precautions or specialty tools required in removing the 4.45 ring and pinion from the L series transmissions?

If you are lucky the pinion will lift out with the bearing. If you are unlucky you will need to pull it. I had to machine a plate to enable that. If you use a lever to pry on it the teeth may chip. I had a guy buy a set of gears off the forum and send them to me.. One tooth was
chipped It only takes one tiny chip lol
