There are three distinct pathways for PCV control on an LNF. Please check out my stuff on this on the LNF gunk thread.

This pathway the hose addresses is THe FRESH AIR INTAKE that supplies fresh air ONLY into the crankcase via a metered check valve from the intake tract post MAF to the rocker cover and then down to the crankcase. The purpose of introducing metered fresh air is to reduce NOX emissions; I also beleive it helps protect against sludge buildup.

The other two pathways are for blow by gas recirculation. The seperator is inserted in the primary line to seperate oil from blow by, and return it to the crankcase.

v.2 used a check valve in the return pathway as GM's original premise that the PCV and the cranckcase ALWAYS pulls negative pressure turned out not to be the case.

The third pathway, is out of the crankcase via two seperator passges in the rocker cover mezannine . then out through a pcv valve in the inlet manifold to the inlet plenum before the runners to the inlet ports.

Our v.3 system eliminates the off boost vacuum return of blow by gasses to the inlet manifiold directly. Updates are possible it just takes some careful work and some fittings with an extra hose.

There are some pics around, and maybe even in this thread of it installed.

Search the how to section, maybe some one made one for the install.

If you can't figure it out, pay the man since he figured it out.

And thats what I'm talking about. If you can't develop it yourself then pay him for it. Don't expect to see photos of things so you can just copy them and not fund the man that developed them.

Given your prior posts about figuring it out for cheaper, if you can't figure out how it works without directly copying Powell, buy one. If you don't want to take the time to figure out what the PCV in the intake mani looks like, buy the separator from Powell. If you want to build your own, build your own but don't expect handouts from John.

Someone already tried that and it was decided that Powell is doing us a huge favor by developing this. It can't be recreated easily and it's not worth the time.

Is the newest update of the separator out yet or is it still in development?

With the Canadian dollar so low, I may as well just be buying my Powel parts right now haha.

Powell's roll pins are better than the stuff you get from GM? (double roll)
