Do you have any rust?
While waxing my 07 SS yesterday I noticed a few spots where rust is starting to form:
-On the driver side wheel well lip, the paint is starting to bubble.
-On the passenger side rocker panel, there are a few spots where the paint is beginning to bubble.
-Theres a few spots in the trunk jamb where the paint is starting to bubble up
-Paint on the bottom of both doors is worn away, surface rust beginning to form.
-Muffler has a hole in it from rust
Anyone else with rust issues?

lower portion of my drivers side door rusted on the OUTSIDE door skin in 4 places, the painted areas on the inside of the door where it rub's the rubber seal I resprayed before that could happen. My fuel line's, both from the tank and the fill line, and the tank straps are rusted to the point of failure soon. And there are a few various places behind the front bumper that are missing black paint from the factory entirely along the radiator support that has begun to rust.

I keep my car heavily detailed in the summer months, and I've noticed bubbling of the paint from the inside of the hood where the contour is on the drivers side, underneath where the pinch welds are/jackpoints, and wherever it's scraped underneath. I spray my internist and wheel wells out once a month in the winter.

My hood is rusting from inside out. Paint at the bottom of the drivers door started peeling off down to the metal after 4 years. When I took it into gm expecting it to be fixed under warrantee I was told the warrantee was only for rust through. Apparently there is no guarantee that the paint will stick to the metal to prevent rusting:wtf
Between that and the cracked flex pipe that they wouldn't fix because the cat is covered under warrantee but the flex isn't you can bet this will be my last gm. They replace them as a single unit and by welding on a new flex they told me I would be voiding the emission warrantee for the cat.
They may think that because it's just a cheap cobalt that they don't have pay to much attention to their clients but our other vehicle is an 05 envoy xl slt. When it gets replaced we will be looking somewhere else to spend $50,000 on a new truck.

a bit of superficial rust on the lower inside door from rubbing the rubber, I'm just going to fix that up before it gets any further and put a strip of white vinyl along the bottom inside door so the paint doesn't rub anymore, worked wonders for my old black cobalt

Lucky me, i get rain probably 60% of the year (PNW) and i have no rust on my '06 yet.
Agree, especially for the price to dip your whole car. cheap as HELL compared to painting. have you thought about any wraps? they look pretty damn nice wrapped too.

Yea I looked into it, But the main reason why I like the dip idea is if I don't like the colour I can change it and I have more experience with painting than wrapping and its cheap like you said lol
But some wrap are pretty cool don't get me wrong!
