Stock shifter with aluminum bushings would have been fine.

Let's see, the issues I have with it are 1) It has popped out of the cable clamp twice, even with the supplied snap ring C clip properly place with proper snap ring C clip pliers. 2) (my biggest complaint by far)The reverse lockout tang isn't positioned properly, so in order to make it work right you have to adjust the shifter too far to the right where it feels unnatural - the stock one was way better in this regard. And 3) the shifter was missing a piece when I got it, the jam nut for adjusting the shifter ball. Fortunately Sevensix9 here on the forums had one to give me.

It's a lot of money for a shifter that comes with pieces missing, can't be adjusted properly, and doesn't seem to hold together.

And that is way more than I wanted to say about the TWM in a Hurst thread

I've had hurst shifters in various cars before and been really really happy with the quality and feel. I want to try one in my Cobalt.
yea, I agree with you about the reverse lockout mechanism. It's fine now but it took me a long time to adjust it to where I liked it
