does anyone know how to remove antenna base?

does anyone know how to remove antenna base?

i had a shorty antenna from antenna x and it just corroded on my antenna base and will be getting a new base on tuesday just wondering if anyone had any input on how to remove the antenna base?

Hmmm...any way you can go back to the stock antenna, and bring it to the dealer to fix under warranty as a corrosion issue? Then they could do it for you....

I would avoid aftermarket antenna after that...my off the wall guess is that two different metals met, and an electrolitic <sp> reaction occured to cause corrosion....

Best to stay stock....

Pull the trim in the trunk loose and remove the two 10mm bolts holding the antenna base to the inner panel. Pull and wiggle the antenna down, it is just pushed into the rubber base.

yeah when you get your new base, just cut our old antenna, it looks factory but not. go get little rubber tips from lowes to cap it off
