Granted the car is almost 10 years old but yet brand new, I think that really 15k is not that bad when you look at what a Kia costs and what you get here.

"It features dual balance shafts and hydraulic engine mounts for smooth, quiet operation. The strong low-end torque provides quick acceleration onto the highway or away from traffic lights." (taken from the Product Information Guide). "Any more brain-busters?" Billy Madison :guns: Just having some fun - I blame the caffeine. And a long weekend! Sarah, GM Customer Service |
It's turbocharged!!!! It's a qc/t concept car! So I know it has more than the stock model! So again, how much HP????

I seen maybe 1 or 2 tops. That or spitting image replicas. Best stock Saturn I've ever seen hence why I could pick this out of a line up lol

2003 SATURN ION Lot 111 | Barrett-Jackson Auction Company I like this one better. (Can you spot the chicken man in this pic?) http://www.saturnfans.com/photos/dat...Concept-05.jpg Press release from Nov 2002 says this about the car: Saturn ION QC/T ASC has created a performance and styling package for the all-new Saturn ION Quad Coupe. The Quad Coupe was designed with personalization in mind, and this year's SEMA concept car brings that idea to life. The Saturn ION QC/T concept was developed in conjunction with Saturn to catch the imagination of the younger performance-minded drivers. ASC designed and produced a composite sport hood with functional scoop and new Saturn badge, unique front and rear chin spoilers, rocker moldings, and spoiler stanchions. Saturn added carbon fiber roof rails. Twistech's ECOTEC turbocharger kit kicked up the engine power, while Motegi Racing's 18 x 7.5- inch MR7 wheels, Bridgestone's 225/40ZR-18 Potenza RE 730 tires, and SSBC's four-wheel disc brakes provided the ION QC/T a performance stance. ASC painted the roof gloss black and tinted the windows to complete the ION QC/T "attitude." "This is a driver's car," said Mark Trostle, president of ASC Creative Services. "The spoiler stanchions alone changed the dynamic of the vehicle. Add to that the rocker moldings and hood treatment and you're zeroing in on the younger performance-minded driver who is also looking for value." The turbo kit was made by Twistec. They made another setup for a company called Fox Marketing. Pics are here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/545399...ion#5453990002 If you compare the engine bay shots, the only differences appear to be the pipe routing which probably had to do with the QC/T and the functional hood. That kit made for Fox Marketing was put up for sale here: Twistec Turbo Kit for ION for Sale - SaturnFans Forums According to that thread it looks like around 250hp on 8psi with these parts: 1 - T3/T4 Turbo, full polished 2 - Exhaust manifold with Downpipe 3 - All piping, chrome 4 - Turbo XS RFL Blow off valve 5 - Twistec custom intercooler with endtanks 6 - MSD Injectors 28lbs The Fox Marketing car was for sale for $8K in 2006 here: http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69853 In that same thread, it also looks like it got walked by an MR2 in 2006 Bored again. Think that covers everything. |
Twistech was involved. Do not want.
