i average around 24mpg on my non-s/c, i can do real good then i always get the urge to chirp the tires then next thing you know my mileage is way down again

Wow all you guys suck i think the gauge told me i was getting something under 20 mpg. LOL i must drive it really hard. I also put in the shell or sunoco 93 and it was 2.75/gallon. HOLY ScHNIKEeS.

It costs between $24-27US depending where I go, typically get about 400 miles out of the tank, I've been as high as 450miles out of a tank. Depends on your habits. Car learns how you drive so be careful...

One thing I have noticed is that poweful 4 cylinders don't get good mileage at all.
Friend of mone bought a new car and after a few thousand kms his gas mileage really went up, so give it a little time.

I'm on my first tank of gas and it looks like I'm gonna get about 450km on the tank. Not that bad I guess. Well, no worse than my old Z24. The dealership filled the tank so I'm not sure what octane of gas they put in. Definately gonna fill it with 94 when I do. And yeah, I opened it up more than a few times, chirping the wheels. It may not be the best thing for gas mileage but it sure feels good.

I'm not sure what the Cobalt's advertised MPG is and I'm sure there is a difference between the LS and a SS/SC. Just for comparison, I just drove my Type S (CAI/Hondata) on a camping trip. 3 adults (one in back seat hates me), and hatch full of camping gear. Trip went up and down mountains of Arizona, i.e. 7500 feet. Got home and filled up with 8.4 gallons of 91 octane. Had 267 miles on tripmeter....31.78 mpg. In town.....about 24 with half on freeway and half on city streets.
From what I see, the Cobalts are doing pretty well on gas mileage.

yeah mine runs around 24mpg, but that's only cause 90% of my driving is on the freeway(in the city it's almost like i can see the gas gauge going down as the tach goes up lol).. if i milk it on a long drive i can stay around 30+mpg

I get about 22/21 on an all city tank on 87 octane 24/23 @ 93 octane on the highway I get about 29/28 on 87 octane and 30+ with premium fuel. (average on/off driving)
-and who is trying to say they get 30+ city driving on their cobalt ss? They're crazy, no way in hell, your car must not be working correctly. Show me another supercharged car that gets 30+ city mileage cause they don't exist.
I have a question for everyone,
Has anyone put in any "fuel saving devices" in their cobalt such as fuel line magnets, or air rifling devices like the "tornado" etc... Do they work at all? with gas the way it is. It might be a good thing to do.

I usually only get just over 400KM a tank running on 91 pump from Petro Can. That's cause most of the time I tramp on her in 2nd just to hear the S/C whine. I can almost swear I see the gas needle go down as I step on it

The S/C SS is rated at 23/29 (city/highway)
A 400 hp 6.0 LS2 Corvette gets 18/28 in the same test.
So yeah the SS/SC fuel economy is poor.
