Gas mpg 2.4 and 2.0
Im trying to decide between the SS 2.4 and SS SS/SC can you tell me what you are getting and tell what it is. I know that the SS/SC will run better but i want one to travel in and to go to work in. Does anybody know how to get better gas mileage i would think put better spark plugs in (Bosh Platium +4) and a KN air intake and maybe headers easier on the engine.

28mpg average stop and go 45mph with a 36mpg average on the highway sustained 75mph on cruise control. for spark plugs I would go with either a copper plug or iridium.

i was getting a 24.5 MPG average stock(not taking it easy.. actually i drive kinda quick.). and 29 MPG highway.... Doing 95MPH give or take.
Now with my #42's I'm not sure, i haven't checked... but screw it. it's fast.

what it says on the sticker is not true. you would have to be going 50 mph on the highway to maybe see 34 mpg. I usually travel about 65 mph and get 30 mpg. I have city+ highway = 28 mpg. also the warmer weather really helps with mpg, well minus the a/c.
ps. taller gears or an aditional gear would really help the mpg issue.

I get 32mpg on the highway and in mixed driving I get around 23mpg. The few times I have done all in town driving my mpg has been awful. I've gotten as low as 13mpg but that was all in town and I had a lot of fun too.
I have an SC

I drove mine 120 miles to my house off the dealer lot. Reset the gauge, Locked in the Cruise at 75MPH pretty much the entire way home, and was at 31.4MPG when I exited the interstate.

reset it...and start over. if you do a lot of city driving, you might see 21, but i'm around 24ish, then on the highway i get around 32.
i average around 25 when doing both, but mainly city driving.

You know you can shift before redline, right? With the SS/SC if you drive normal and stay out of high boost you can get excellent gas mileage. I regularly see 25-26mpg city and anywhere from 30-34 on highway.

u must really run your tank down cause I usually pay 34 dollars for 93 oct at 3.14 a gallon. I usually get 23mpg... city and highway combined with my ocassional pass thru gears.... all tho getting that kind of milage im fine with since i traded in a diesel truck for my car were that would get if i babied it 19mpg and it had a 26 gallon tank.

i just looked at this topic, so the number one thing i have to say is..........
STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM BOSCH SPARK PLUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! never, ever, ever, ever use bosch spark plugs. for one they foul out because they all seem to be far too cold of a plug. others have had tips break off them. they wear out 10x-100x faster then any other plug. expensive JUNK!
oh yeah, calculate gas mileage yourself. the mpg avg on the dic can be close, but not accurate. hell last time i filled up, it showed i avg 30.2. i got 32mpg. but the miles to go on a tank is pretty accurate so far for me.
