Gauges Info Needed
So I'm trying to learn about the different gauges and was wondering if someone could some give me a run down of the different gauges out there that are used on the cobalt and a description of what they do.
OR
If threre is a thread they could just give me the link instead lol.

Really? If it's any good I'd really be interested in that seeing that in new york it's not illegal to have a radar dector but it is illegal to have anything in your window or on your dash (lame).

Lol, go figure huh? Well dont quote me on it, but I remember seeing something like that. I could be wrong. I would ask around more. I dont want to lie you bro.

Why are you debating? Is it worth it? Cuz I think its a awesome spot to put it and its eye level for me. But if you know something, let me know. As far as dependability and signal wise.

AFR Gauge - Air-to-Fuel Ratio Gauge, shows the air to fuel ratio, most often used for tuning because you can see to what extent you are lean or rich. They are available in wideband and narrowband gauges. A narrowband reads from your PCM on what is commanded whereas a wideband reads from a wideband O2 sensor located in your exhaust and gives you accurate reports of what your AFR really is making it the more useful and more expensive.
EGT Gauge - Exhaust Gas Temperature Gauge, also known as a pyrometer. Reports the temperatures of the exhaust gases via a probe that you have to install into your exhaust. Typically installed on header primaries for accuracy.
Aeroforce Interceptor - Shows an ass of different information that is useful for cars including boost, rpm, mph, knock retard, intake air temperatures etc.
These three are probably the most common and most popular because of their use and functionality.

Looks like the laser antenna still has to go by the rear view mirror...but I guess you could hope to have a cop who doesn't know what that is. Does anyone have this radar guage installed so they can tell us how it actuall is.
I still need more guages!

Um...no. AFR and boost (if you're in a redline).
Um...what?
I lived in NY for 2 years with all sorts of crap in my car...everyone has friggin gps, radar detectors, I had gauges. If it's a rule they don't enforce it.

It's more of a law they enforce if they pull you over for something else; you usually don't get pulled over just for having a radar in the car. IMO it's a pretty stupid law all together.

bingo! Actually you only need the controller. You don't have to buy the gauge which should save you a few bucks...
You just have to program the gauge to read it...

How difficult was that to program it to work?
I was seriously sitting here looking for a Uego and Interceptor combo because I didn't understand the point of an LC-1 if it doesn't come with a damn gauge. Nobody ever pieced the two together for me.

I have never done it however I believe BOOSSTED 06 has because he was telling me how to do it. I would shoot him a PM and ask him for more info. You can pretty much program the Interceptor to read anything you want. There are two analog inputs on each gauge...

I'm just gunna make things simple when I do guages. I'll do the 3 guage pod, 1 spot with the radar, another with A/F mixture, and the other with oil pressure or something. Those intercepters are too confusing to me.
