GM loaner car
#26
This is what the dealer told me, but mines an 09. I called the GM recall number and they said that the dealers do not have all of the information yet of the addon from 08-10. They also said they will hook me up with a loaner by the end of the day that I'll keep until the end of the month when my car should be fixed.

Then the rental place denied me the rental because I'm under 21.. They said they needed the "approval of the area manager" which he called once and I waited around for a hour after the call for no call back.
Left kind of annoyed. The techs got a laugh out of my license plate tho (slobalt)

Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to pop in with some more information, even though we are only able to assist customers located in the United States at this time. If you live in Canada, please be sure to reach out to GM of Canada at 800-263-3777. If you have already gone this route with no success, please private message us. Be sure to include your name, VIN, phone number, dealership name, and service request number (if applicable). Again, I am sorry for any inconvenience due to this recall.

So they denied me a loaner car because "we don't do that anymore because a kid like you smashed 3 cars up costing 75 grand" I was like ok...

Not worth it.
Tip: ALWAYS get the full coverage/loss damage waiver when you get a loaner car from the dealer. That way if you bring it back and theres a scratch that the 18 year old attendant missed before he gave it to you, you're not liable.
My dealer had some special where you got a loaner car and paid $15 for a tank of gas. I guess they figured most people will just use it to go to work and back the same day. I had the day off and used the entire tank, lol. Think they did away with the deal after that.

I'm a manager at Enterprise and we have been dealing with this for a couple weeks. You can be 18-20 with us to rent but will need a major CC and valid license. Also need to have proof of full coverage that will transfer over to a rental. 21-24 you can rent like normal, still need to have a Major CC or Debit and insurance that will transfer over. Basically GM is going to cover $38/day until your car is fixed. At my office you are going to get whatever is on the lot at the time as long as it's a car. haha

No choice, since we really have no idea what we will have at the time. You can most certainly pick what you want from the lot though. I would say make a reservation, don't just show up, we hate that ****. You will have a lot better time if they know you are showing up haha

I'll be getting a loaner. I'm a nanny and the family I work for, along with with my family, are constantly worried about the kids and I. I've already experienced this problem back in 07/08 soooo I'm not really feeling taking anymore chances and/or loosing my job bc I don't have a "safe" car in the eyes of my employer.
