GM loaner car

I just got off the phone with GMCS a little while ago and my 08 is covered. Plus I've not gotten the extended warranties for the cylinder lock and fuel pump done yet. So I called the dealership and they are going to be doing all 3 when I take the car in for the recall. They said it'll be at least another week for the parts to come in and that I'd be better off keeping my car at my house since they already have 17 sitting in the lot waiting. I havent gotten a loaner yet, but I figure if they have to keep my car longer than a day, I'm gonna make them give me one.

I got an impala. I suggest calling and making sure enterprise has Chevys available. I was told that they can only give you a Chevy. I will probably be going back on Friday and switching out for a sonic. Little me does not like this sedan lol

May not have been any chevys within a certain mile radius or they just don't care lol. I was there for awhile so I had a convo with a general manager. Chevy requested that they only use their cars as rentals for the recall

This whole recall is the biggest marketing scheme ever. Not only does the recall get you into the dealership, but they offer incentives for trading the cobalt in and only loan you cars sold at the dealership. lol

It does not have to be a Chevy. I got a direct email from GM Warranty Group when they told us about the recall. They said they would appreciate it being a GM product but understand that it is not guaranteed. They will pay $38/day not matter make or model. I know at my Enterprise I deal with a Chevy dealer daily so my fleet is mainly GM. But the Enterprise down the road deals with a huge Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep Dealership and they have a majority of those vehicles in their fleet.
Best case for all of you is to make a reservation with Enterprise and give some suggestions for what you would want to drive. We will do our best, but you have to understand if you just show up you may not get what you want. We don't have an unlimited supply of cars. lol

Well that's terrible customer service and not what we are taught. I mean I understand saying we won't know what we have but she should have never made you feel like a *******. I'm sorry that happened to you. I know at my branch I will try to get my customers into what they want. Calling does make a difference, just maybe not at the office you dealt with.

You will be able to rent. Only thing you will need is insurance to prove you have full coverage that transfers to the rental (they will verify that in the office). You will need a valid in state DL and a debit/credit card for a $50/security deposit. MO may be a little different then IL though.
