Question Governor ???

is there a governor on the 2.2L?? can it be removed ??? just curious.... thanx

if you don't have the sports package that includes the upgraded tires and rims, then your governor is set to 105... if you don't upgrade your tires and rims, don't change youre governor, or you can be sure to expect a blowout because your tires are rated to 107mph... what's that mean?? after that they will blowout... not fun at 107

ya, i found that out.....but is there a way to bypass it or get rid of it completly?

you can get hp tuners to raise/remove the governor... that's about it...

cool. i've seen those. i also heard that if you upgrade your tires and wheels, that the dealership will adjust your governor for you.... any thoughts?

I doubt the dealership will do it for you. That's like them going "sure, go out and drive the thing at 130mph down some dark road".... yeah, I don't think that's happening.
