Header Heat Shield Won't Install after Aftermarket Header Install

Hi,
I've bolted up a new Vibrant header part (#2536) to my '06 LSJ. Header doesn't leak, but now I can't get the stock heat shield over top of the Vibrant header as it is larger than the design of the old header.

Has anyone else ran into this, what was your fix? The headers are long tube, so the heat is being drawn away from the engine more than stock, but I'm pretty sure for long trips I'll still need heat shielding.

Please provide advice, thanks!

That's because the heat shield is designed for the stock manifold... not aftermarket.

You will be ok w/o it. If you are worried about heat, wrap the header.

Also, the Vibrant setup is more of a mid length header. Not a long tube.
