take it all the way to 20 psi with no problems.
This is what the Saturn tech told me today. Also, they are coming out with a chip and a different wastegate.

Sorry, no numbers info. I'm just going off what the tech at the Satty dealer told me.
I've also heard that the intercooler on the RL has a small core and in order to boost your psi that high safely will require an IC upgrade. Not sure if the same will hold true with the Cobalt.
I heard that the m62 on the RL is still increasing psi but the ECU is opening the bypass valve and not allowing it to go higher than 12.5 because that is the highest rating that GM tested it at.

Sweet. Yes I think it was SCC that reported that the ECU opened the bypass valve at high boost to limit boost to 12 PSI. So I definitely think it's possible that a different chip would keep the bypass closed and allow the m62 to boost higher.
Just the fact that they use the bypass valve to keep it down to 12PSI with a stock pulley is awesome. With a pulley swap and new chip this is looking to have some real potential!

thats sweet, i'm thinking the reason why gm made the ecu stop at 12 psi is cuz the charge temps started getting to hott and the small intercooler cant handle it, so an upgraded intercooler along with an ecu recalibration will be the first thing to look for if you want more psi, other than that basic bolt ons will help keep charge temps down but not much, like cool air intake will cool the charge temps slightly, but upgraded intercooler will be a must if u want more psi. wonder if the cobalt will allready have the recalibrated revlimiter seeing as in how they are promising this stuff with red line, maybe gm is allready considering it and making it part of production, or as an upgraded option.
