The black ring came from a TSB that GM put out for the problem of the fabric sticking out from underneath the switch bezels. I didn't like the looks of it so I left it out. One of the new numbers, I cant think of which side, has a wider lip than the factory one did correcting the problem without having that odd black ring.

As far as I know, GM doesn't sell any. Some of the upholstery shops might though.

If you want to stay ALL FACTORY you will have to remove your original seat covers and install those. The rear seats were pretty easy to do because they are the easiest to remove from the vehicle and they just clip on with J-hooks and maybe a few hog rings. The front seats were interesting to say the least. the bottoms wasn't that bad but to do the backs of the seats correctly you have to completely disassemble the seats to get the bottom fabric around the tilt mechanisms spring tensioners. That's the part that I had a little problems with.

Hey Fr33k can you look up the part number on a 2001 Impala power drivers seat? Just the cushions nothing else

Not the best design, but it works. The Passenger side would be the one that's wider. The driver side was perfect, but the passenger side was about 1/4" narrower on each side of the door pull.

GM doesnt sell just the material . Auto upholstery shops are able to get the correct factory material , they use books .....with codes and material swaths(sp?) , like paint codes thats catagorized by model year , manufacturer and car line . Good luck getting a shop order just material for you though without them doing any work on your car . Ive tried and got turned away .

If you cant get the seat covers at cost like fr33k , its cheaper by ALOT to get aftermarket covers . You can get REAL leather OEM cobalt replacements for the front and rear , in the factory stitch and pattern for under a $1000 @ leatherseats.com , and they will sell matching material to do the door panel inserts .

Okay just want to confirm before I order these bad boys. These are for the coupe right? Also these part numbers arent VIN specific right? Im ordering these from GM parts direct and I cant send them back if they are the wrong ones.

There's a few different types of seats in the impalas which use different cushions and covers. If you can, I need the VIN to make sure I get ya the right numbers.

I double checked to make sure on the numbers and they are correct. They are the black plastic with blue leather inserts for the SS/SC cobalts. They should fit all the coupe body styles. That's the same thing I done with my yellow balt. It's an LS and I added all yellow SS/SC interior to it (seats front and rear and door panels). Everything fit just fine.

GM does not sell whole seats for some reason. The only way is to buy each piece and make a seat and that would be really expensive.

sorry.

Try looking at aircraft-grade nuts and bolts -- I've seen titanium ones for $1000+

Thanks again for posting the PNs and prices!

I'm preparing to install an SS/NA fascia on my 06 LS.

So far I think I have all the PNs to do it:

SS Fascia PN 12336074
Bracket RH/LH 15248110/15248111
Screw 11609406 (Qty?)
Nut 11513599 (Qty?)
Lower Grille 15773841

All other parts I should have -- is there a difference between the LS and SS grille itself or are they the same?

Is that all I need (besides paint)?

Thanks for the help again...

the 11513599 nut and the 11609406 screw has a quantity of 10 according to my catalog. And the grille is the same for the LS, LT, and SS/NA balts. Your center grille on your facia below your regular grille is
15773841 - COVER-FRT BPR FASCIA OPG
Dealer Price $61.25 List Price $103.81 Trade Price $77.86

That should just about do ya.
