Help pick tire size for 17's and hug rings
Hey guys, I just picked up a set of these (not exact but almost identical) from a guy at work for $150!! no damage, curbed or anything and they are SUPER light weight, just have Honda center caps ill have to change/cover.
Just have to get tires. I need to figure out what most guys run for a sidewall size, ill be lowered on B&G's im thinking 50 for the side wall, opinions?
Also, how do I figure out how wide of tire I should use? I know most base model guys are 205-215-225 area. I know it sounds like a dumb question, but do I need to physically measure the wheel?
Also, I put them up on the studs and it definitely seems like they need hub rings, do I just order 57.1mm rings or do I have to have the wheel/gap measured?
Sorry the noob questions, thanks for the help.

Stock on a LE5 is 205/50/17.
When I had my LE5 I needed new tires and picked up some Khumo Ecsta's in a 225/45/17 and loved them. Sidewall made a noticeable difference in wheel gap which should look perfect with lowering springs. If keeping stock height like I was, I think a 225/50/17 would have looked perfect.
I'm not one for a tucked look and like some gap but to each their own. Hope this helps

guys on coilovers have like 40 and 35 side walls
50 will look like too much tire and not enough rim IMO

A metric caliper will tell u the size ring u need. Measure the inside of the wheel and the outside of the hub. You can rent the caliper from Pepboys, Advanced Auto, or Auto Zone. If u dont have one. I havent ordered a set in a while but i think tirerack.com sells them. Hope this will help you.
