As soon as I finish paying her off she'll probably turn into a project car. I plan on buying a small pickup for work soon anyways.

^^this. I am NEVER getting rid of this car. Would like to make it a dedicated road track car though. And get a nice new DD. Like an Audi RS5 or something ;-) Trailer the Cobalt to the track behind the RS5. That would be epic.

I've had the same thought. I need to ditch the open diff first.

I used to buy a new car every 2 years, and would ALWAYS have a car payment. I paid for this one cash. Not having a car payment is bliss! So i will keep this car until i give it to my nephews in 10 years . Might look for an SRT-4 and just keep this as the DD.

Wow, a lot of keepers out there lol. The threads with "back to stock" and "sold for a..." made me feel like the community is bailing. Nice read

right and IMO generally those threads are made by the speed demons who pushed the limit with their cobalt and wanted more so moved on. i know im satisfied with my cobalt performance and im pretty sure a stock TC can smoke me easily

until i total it or if the frame rusts out before i put an undercoating on it. if the engine, trans, or ac goes out, ill fix them. suspension, exhaust, and electrical are all relatively cheap to replace. I'll put at least 250k on it before I even consider a new car.

cars are horrible investments, and you should keep the one you have for as long as humanly possible. If it's cheaper to buy a new car than the cost of repair parts, then you have neglected your vehicle maintenance. only exception would be if you dont know how to do your own work.

chances are im probably going to flip the thing off a cliff doing something crazy, and then I wont have to worry about buying a new car anyways cuz ill be dead.

I planned on keeping my Cobalt forever until the ZL1 & soon to come out 1LE made an appearance.

It's not official yet if I'm going to sell my car, but there is more of a chance now.

I love my SS though, and it has yet to fail me.

If I do sell it, I plan on selling the H62 seperate.

It won't be cheap (under $1000 though) & I will require the buyers M62 as well.

Haha, I have a lot of first dibs

I will make a thread when the time comes.

I hate to part with this car or blower.

I never thought I would even think about selling it. We shall see when I'm in a better position to purchase a car (in the next few months).

Nothing is 100% yet....

If a GMR head shows up one of these days (still on the hunt), I will keep my car & build it the way I've wanted to since I started my GMR/GMPP build.

Although, I must say an auction is a great idea, and might be something fun to try on here.

Thanks for the idea
