THREAD JACKERS!!!!

back to OP topic.

i remember a long time ago someone having the info for the 2005 year and it was like 5,000 some. I thought that the 2006 number went up to 8,000 some. I don't really remember what the numbers were, but I do remember someone had the info on them awhile back, like a year ago.

hopefully someone does post it, becuase i totally forgot.

GM stated that the SS/SC acounted for less than 3% of total Cobalt production. I would imagine that number would be fairly easy to find, so it would get you in the ballpark.

And if you have seen the new LSJ why don't you tell us about it? Where and when did you see it? What size is it, what kind of power does it put out?? Or are you just smoking something?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Well i was told the New LSJ or what ever they are gunna call it that comes with the turbo will be released in 2010 a freind of my uncles works in a plant that makes the crates for these new turbo engines and he is the one that told me that they would not be released until then so i dont know and he is a supervisor and would not tell me the name of the plant or anything cause they would get in trouble i guess but my uncle said its true cause he works there also so i believe him but who knows with GM

Actually it is still funny. This car is not rare and the numbers are in the 4k+ range minimum each year for the SS/SC, that's not rare. As I've said maybe two dozen times before RARE means you might see one in your life. Rare is a 250 GTO Ferrari, Bugatti Type 49, or a Duesenburg. I don't mind the term future collector car though, it MIGHT be something collectible in the future however I question that because with Barrett Jackson and other means of seeing rare cars like they are nothing special the collector market has gone nuts. Now Cudas with 383s suddenly bring six figures when 10 years ago you could get one for under a grand. What's so special about a 383 Cuda? Nothing, except the hype that the aforementioned auction creates about it. So now you have young people like yourself thinking that your car might be a collector in a future so more of these will be kept around in decent condition thinking they may pay for your retirement someday. Chances are they won't. The true collector cars of our generation are not 20k dollar cars.

IPod? What's that, never heard of it.

It really depends on the location so looking at individual dealers is not a good judge of how many might be sold. My SS/SC is the only one ever sold by my dealership and there are two dealerships in my area that have never sold an SS/SC.

this car will be "rare" in the future, but it will hold no value

it'll end up like the shelby daytona
