How were you first exposed to the Cobalt?

I was tired of my 04Corolla, already...and so I was doing some research on it, and I saw the blue one, but at first it reminded me way too much of my moms blue cavalier, then i saw the black one...SS.SC...but then the Civic Si came out, checked that out, didnt like and everyone and their mama had one...
I had sworn just one year ago that I would never drive a stick again....stuck in traffic for four hours...yeah , not fun...but i realllly wanted to autocross again!
Bout a month later, I took the black one for a test drive and fell head over heels...Walked away that day from the dealership, cause i knew they werent givin me a fair price... brought the fiance in next day, and he talked em down over 5000 dollars....Best bang for the buck i say! Think this ones a keeper

Saw the original concept in a magazine. Then saw the commercials with it and the vett. It looked like a fun car to have. Then saw it at the detroit auto show in the beginning of 2005. Then bought it in march of 2005.

well i had always loved the SRT-4, and when they stopped making them i was sad.
So at the time i wasnt even really shopping for a car and my mother in law had a copy of "wheelz". needless to say I fell in love with those big 18 inch rims, that spoiler, and the promise of some serious get up and go.
funny thing is i forgot about it for quite a while, until i started to get really financially stable and noticed one on the lot at the local chev. went in to just kinda tease myself and have a look. and wifey says...."i love it...lets try for financing"
rest is history.

I'm on the same page as IMADREAMER.
I worked for a Buick/Hummer dealership in 03' and my boss and I religiously followed all new concepts for GM. The second I heard about the Cobalt and the potential of destroking and supercharging the EcoTec I was sold. I followed the car from a rumor from our local rep all the way through auto shows and finally production. The first day they put out the concept picture of the Victory Red SS/SC I had it on my desktop...
Never would've thought back then that I would own one three years later!

I happened to see one of the first one's at my dealer rolling off the truck when I took my dads 2002 Cavi to the shop for something.... I took it for a test drive (which was my 05 LS) and was sold, then I joined this site.... and 11 months later traded in the 05 LS on the 06 SS/SC!!!

i seen the add on tv with the vette and the cobalt. when it bumps the vette and then the vette does a 180 and the cobalt flashes the lights. then i did my research and found that it had a supercharger. i was sold. then came the time to start saving for the down payment.

I finished paying off my truck and now the wife wanted a car. She wanted a 4 cyl. to save on gas cause the truck ate too much. We walked the lot and she liked the look of the cobalt. She doesn't like automatics and the only standard they had was on the showroom floor. It was a red ss/sc and had all the bells and whistles. One scary test drive later.......

Wow, to be honest I can't honestly say when I first learned about the cobalt, but I'm pretty sure I found about their existance while researching cars when I wanted to get a new car. Its funny, before i got the ss/sc I was all ready to except that fact that I was gonna only get an LS if that, because the week before I got turned down for a TC. Ya know, I love my car a ton, but it still hurts that I never got the TC, now I just jet passed them to rub it in.
