I never really beat the **** out of my clutch either. I never really launched my car anyway. And I have never been to the track either.
Its so weird that it went out so early. Sooo anywho, the guys at GM forgot to mention that the Centerforce kit comes with a lightened flywheel already. I was like, ok well it order it already then. The entire kit is gonna cost like 900 with shipping they said. And it will most likely be done by Thursday this week. Because the parts are being shipped still.

I have 15k miles running 260+ whp and I know of a certain other person running over 280+ to the tire and we are both on stock clutches.... if you know how to drive them you'll be okay!

Well, the clutch on my SS/SC went out last night after 22,800 miles. I had it towed to the dealer, and they wanted $1500 for parts & labor
I think I will go for an aftermarket Spec Stage 2 clutch, although not sure if I should go for Stage 2 or Stage 2+...

This sounds bad, i had 6 stockclutches replaced under waranty with 6000 miles on it after the 5th one the found that their was a problem with the pressure plate being warped, moore like tapered the disk only made contact for a half in on the plate, 6th one worked like a charm. One time they didnt get it out of the parking lot without it blowing. And i didnt beat on it

Got my car back tonight. It shifts like a champ. And oh man it revs so fast. I got a 12 lb. flywheel that came with my centerforce clutch kit. It feels great. Now is the hard part of breaking it in. I killed it at a stop light tonight cause I am not used to the lightened flywheel. I was like"Holy F--- this sh_t revs mega fast." Then I thought, What if I had gotten the 8 lb flywheel. That would be insane. I think it will take a while to get used too. Ill have it down in like 100-200 miles I think. Oh and my work for my car costed like 2,000 plus. 1000 for the clutch and 800 plus for the labor and a 100 plus for the throw out bearing. And some other stuff. I would have rather taken it to someplace else, IMO. Not to mention they(GM) did not know where my Clutch kit was for over 8 days. I ordered it on Feb. 26 and they just got it on Mar. 7th. I was freaken out on them. I wanted to rip some random guys head off. But luckly I did not or else some n00b would be driving my car now.
Any whoo. Dont take your Cleanbalt SS Supercharged to Mike Anderson Chevorlet in Merrillville Indiana. IMO of course.
