the non LSD has trouble putting the power down in corners...
LSD makes both tires spin when your turnin.
if you want to do anything like autocross....road racing...etc its essential.
i personally didnt feel the money was justified for me....because the only racing I do is 1/4 mile and at a very amatuer level...and I personally feel it wont help me much if any, and not enough to spend $1500 on it.

Im not tryin to talk you out of it.....
ill also tell you this....there are quite a few people who regret not getting it.
its a great mod....and when you floor it with the wheels turned without it....youll notice....
but for me....$1500 goes a lonnnnnng way in mods that i felt would be far more beneficial to me than LSD thats all

well i dont really care if i get it or not its just 1500 bucks and i was wondering if it was useless like the 400 6 cd chagner that serves no purpose when ihave a deck... so i should think about it.. i relaly dont know the difference between a dlsd and a stock differential i know what they do but i really dont know how they are different

LSD FTW. If your buying to car to use it what it's made for get it. I can't imagine not having it. If you want the car to pull you through a turn get lsd, Simple as that. If your buying the car not to beat on it, just to cruise around and show off don't bother you would probably never notice it. You also should look at different cars if all you want is to show off. I know I wouldn't buy the car if it didn't have Lsd.

Im pretty sure its only $800 without the Recaros and $1500 wit the Recaros which isnt an option anymore. I got it and i would definitely regret not gettin it. I like to know that il always have my power put down through both wheels.

Now that I've had my car for two years, I really wish I had the LSD. I will probably be adding one soon, it is a shame that the unit costs almost $1000 without installation.
I have a lot of trouble with wheelspin. A big part of it is the shitty Pirellis but as soon as the roads get damp I have trouble whenever I leave a light or give it some gas going up an on-ramp. I don't have a super lead foot but I do like to feel the acceleration we get with these cars.
With an '07 the LSD is a separate option at around $700. I would definately get it, especially if you are not sure cause it costs a lot more to add one later.

I you can find an SS/SC that has the LSD (and you can afford the extra $20-$30 month it'll cost you in your car payment) ...
GET IT.
Stereo upgrades can be added on later, and is not something most people worry about having waranteed.
But an LSD is.
(more $$ and a REAL pain to install later on if you want to)
Like I said, get it if you can.

I was reading this thread, and it got me to thinking if I had the LSD on my recently purchased 07 SS/SC. I looked at the sticker and it had it listed at $795 rather than $1500. So DrPuttsSS/SC is right.

I believe the $1500 package included Recaro seats which is not an option for 07, right?

Yeah I have an 06 with the recarros and lsd, option was 1500 bucks, a little overpriced but it was sure worth it, I love the seats wish I could have got them heated as well, but the lsd really comes in handy when you want to launch when it's raining, helps out in the snow too. Only took it out in the snow once, but the car was drivable unlike the camaro's I had before. I drove better in the snow then my sister civic that I drove in the snow once so I belive it's from the lsd both pulling you straight instead of just one tire trying to get traction.

You have an 06? Do you have Recaro seats? If not, you don't have the LSD.
