WoW trade in for my car right now in good condition is only 300 less than what I paid haha. I paid a tad over 19K. Just a FYI, a dealership will pretty much NEVER give anyone excellent condition pricing.

LMFAO!!!!!! Suggested retail on my car is 25,340$ LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

guys, keep in mind that this is kbb, and not what a dealer goes by. so trade in will be much lower than the #'s that are getting posted still. go to a dealer website, you'll get a quote for between 11-13,000. that's what i got for my 05 w/21,000 miles.

I dont know if anyone mentioned this or not. But take your trade in value minus 3 to 4 grand for it and thats what the dealer will give you. I know a dealers that purchased a 05 -07 SS/SC from customer for 8K - 12k. so these cars have no value to the dealer that sold them to us.

Big Picture

You guys are missing the real picture here since the vaule of the car has gone up know you guys can refiance your cars and try to get a lower apr and drop your monthly payment with out putting any my down on the loan. Also it will be easyer to sell private party since a bank will fiance the entire price of the car. lol

guys, i wouldn't trust in that. The kbb website gave my car 20,570 as retail value (my v6 mustang). If anyone in the world payed me that much for it i would bitch slap them for being retarded as soon as i got the cash. My car STICKERED for 21k and i payed 19.

But one thing that you should think about is this is close to the amount that an insurance company would give you if you totaled your car rather than what a dealer would give you.

trade
19,000

private
22,00

retail
25,000

I have low miles

i wanna do a swoop and squat like in those insurance commercials. Buy a car that is worth alot more than you buy it for and total it on purpose . get that cash money.

My values are pretty low , but my SS also has 63,500 miles .

Edmunds #'s
retail
$14,234

private
$12,891

trade in
$11,250

KBB's

$17050
$14825
$12475

Overall though , Im pretty impressed with the resale values . I was so worried this car would drop like a rock like the Cavalier . Not so at all . In my area , I have yet to see a used 2005 Cobalt SS/SS drop below $16K regardless of mileage and they seem to sell rather qwickly .

The residule on my lease is $10K even and my lease is up next year . I do plan to buy my car at that time . Its looking like even if I dont put cash down , the loan would less than its worth , in stock trim anyways .

Not from a dealer but you will most likely get it from a insurance company. For example when I totaled my 2003 Cavalier LS Sport they gave me the blue book value $14,200 for it. It was 1 year old with 21,000 miles. I purchased the car brand new for $11,000. I know this is rare for something like this to happen and I got lucky. They payed off the car and sent me check for the rest of the money. This may also depend on your insurance company aswell. Don't anyone go getting any ideas now!

25,140 Retail
22,465 Private
19,900 Trade in.

At least the retail is more than I paid for. I also have very low miles.

Does it matter by location? I just scabbed a zip code from somewhere so I could check it out.

LOL, Edmunds listed the value of the G85 (LSD) at $79....$87....$104. You'd think a $1500 option would be worth more than that.

Here's my KBB numbers ..

TRADE- $19,625
PRIVATE- $22,160
RETAIL - $24,805

Dang! The "private" sale price is what my car actually stickered for!

And the "retail" price is almost 3k OVER sticker!
