killed a mazda 3 but messed up my car
On 84 going torward Newburg last night to work and this 06 Mazda 3 hatchback Was eggin me on before the bridge...our cars are about even I got more torque so i was like fine **** this guy. we get right onto the bridge full 3 mile strait away from a 80 roll andI took the guy buy like 3 car lengths. Then when I got onto 17k my **** started makin noise and i poped the hood and the intake pipe came off!! I fixed it but whill this have any long term damage on my car? Btw it felt so good to smoke that Mazda in my LS...

eh...who cares...long term damage is for panzies. All that matters is the fact that you won, and might now have a reason to pull your engine in the future and do some internal work....jk

How far did you drive with the intake pipe off? The only thing that would hurt the engine internals would be any dirt that got sucked up...but if you didnt drive too far you will be fine.

he didnt say he did a 3 mile race it was a 3 mile straight away they raced on...2nd not all base/ls/lt's have limiters :-)
i personally have seen 120mph in my base it keeps going past the 120 mark but no telling how fast im going since there is no more marks

this is correct. im not sure if it has changed w/ the 06 cobalt LT now. just wait till HPTuners comes out w/ the tune..there will never be a limiter ever again on my car

u talkin bout my intake? cuz its amazin...we are gonna use it for a idea to make a XTC intake for the 2.2 and 2.4. we wil start designin that 2morrow. ill let you guys know

05sedan.... thanks you took the words right outa my mouth so i diddent have to explain myslef ..LoL..All I said was that it was a 3 mile strip and no I dont have a Limiter like the base models. I have the 1sb package higher then the sports packag. G5Mike Its a 2 door coupe and why does this suprise you? The mazda 3 is a 2.3 liter with lower torque

oh...i dunno he was like 3 cars in back of me ...I braked above 115 cus I was like holy crap when I saw how fast I was going. If not i think i coulda had a few more car lengths

i have the sports package on my ls with the 140 spedo and i have pinned it at 125 ... that was up against a toyota camery... poor thing didnt see anything coming.. atleast he got to watch My dash tv while he was sititng behind me lol

god i wish there was a way to turn off the limiter... effin sucks haveing it on there... i know iwas able to turn it off on my GAGT i had it done by a buddy of mine
