Red face License plates?

Could I put a Japanese license plate on the front of my car instead of the Massachusetts plate, but keep the rear one? I saw a Subaru doing this once, but I don't remember where the plates were from. (The american ones) I just think I will like the look of my car with a Japanese plate on the front, And it would stand out. Also, I am fine with people replying with their opinions, but PLEASE do not reply with something like "Why? That's gay." It's just annoying, and not helpful.

EDIT: I have an old green MA license plate from our old Impala SS (Totaled) The little sticker says it expired in 2010, (But the car was totaled, so I guess it expired in '09.) Could I use that on my Cobalt? Massachusetts only requires a back plate if you have a green one.

I think you can run one in a state that doesn't require a front plate but not one that does require a front plate, only switch them for shows.

Thanks! I live in Massachusetts, I think the front plates are required here unless you have a really old green plate.

Or don't put a a Japanese plate on a cobalt at all ever just ever......

They are prefecture specific cc specific and some(if not all) actually are made to say type of car..... so unless you work something out to license your cobalt in japan it's pointless....

How do I know? Brought one back with me thinking the same thing.... doesn't work with a non jdm car......

I didn't know you could decide what I can and cannot do with my car.
