Lnf P0087 and P0089?

While driving on the Expressway I get the "engine power reduced" on the dtc. I can't drive over 40-45 and gets up to speed slow.
My question is... What steps do I take to find out how to fix this problem?
Has this happened to you? What was the problem?
Help please

In my photo the circle looking thing above the yellow tag next to the charge pipe with the plug going into it is the HPFP. They usually have a black foam covering over them held on by a black metal plate.

I had these codes and ENG PWR Reduced.

The giant wire loom that is running to the right of the hpfp had come undone and was rubbing wires on the Hpfp. I put the loom back over the wires and then put a piece of foam around it to keep it from rubbing on the frame of the fuel pump. This was reported by several people.

If that doesn't fix this issue, then hpfp is probably next.

I guess I will have to check those wires when I get home. So it's the big wire block thing that comes undone?

Right where my finger is the wire loom to the right will rub on the metal frame and the left. When i do oil changes the wire loom will move a little and start the headache over.

With that said, this may not be your issue but please check it before moving to replace pump.

Couldn't find the problem so I took it to the shop. They wanted to charge me $900 for the pump including install. I said **** that and ordered one from zzp for $200. Damn scammers

I am not sure I have seen a write up on how to install these.

Let us know how it goes and do a write up if you can.
