Look what came in from USPS today!!
Yep take a look, don't have to say much about this :/
I've already filed a complaint with USPS, the problem is these items where insured for up to $200 so yeah that's the reputation of USPS for you. I was screwed by them last year when I sent my $2,000 dollar Christmas gift to my fiancée in Seoul South Korea suppose to take 3 days express took 1 1/2 months to make it there. I'm so sick of them I hope they do end up going out of business. I've already switch to UPS for shipping out any items I sell. I don't trust these guys at all. I'm sure many of you may have a wonderful experience with them which by all means it's cool since we all have our own opinions about what mailing services we use but come on. Anyways that's my day, at least on a good note I had a successful job interview today and will be having a new line of work next week so it's not all bad.

That's the thing the guy I bought them from did package them up really good, triple bubble wrap plus two blankets and they looked like they where stepped on like a stool. yeah well now I'm gonna have to look for someone on here who can fix this and spend more money. I just don't have the time now since I'm in school to fix them. Well lesson learned don't ever trust a mailing service that's going out of business

yea see UPS seems to **** up everything i do through them so i use the post office with out issue. i guess its luck of the draw and the guys who pack the trucks in your area!
however if those shrouds were not epoxied on, they slip off with vibes from the TTR mounts, so i wouldnt go saying USPS is at fault. they need to be glued on.

^ haha i used to work at FedEx. Fragile is a Challenge.
to fix them. you will need to bake them apart in the oven. and separate the lenses. use some sort of glue, i used 5 minute plastic expoy, and push the shrouds back on the projectors. really simple. then there is a nut on the back side of the projector. you will need to leave the lenses off the housing and level them. then tighten the retaining nut all the way down, ensure they are till level, and then you can put them back together.

Update: Currently in the process of resealing the shrouds with proxy glue, tightening the big nut and then putting them both back together. This is the first time I've ever done this so I'm no expert at doing headlights. Will take pics when there ready to go

you shouldnt have had to loosen that nut at all....... they shouldve been tight and for the little bit they couldve moved you should have been able to (with slight force) twist them into proper rotation

Yeah man should of did that, but now the nut seems to be stuck and the projector is loose. Just seems like I'm stuck at the moment don't know what to do on how to loosen the nut up :/ I'm just gonna end up selling them anyone interested let me know, I'll post a sales thread soon

i just did retros with these shrouds and they hit on the bottom causing them to want to tilt forward. if the builder aligned them and leveled them after they would be applying pressure on the bottom of the shroud which causes the top to pop out. unless he shaved some off the bottom it may have happened because of the builder not shipper.

Good idea.... we all know UPS never loses a package or breaks anything.
There isn't any firm data out there on how many packages are lost or broken for USPS, UPS or FeDex. I used to ship hundreds of packages a month around the world and researched this very thoroughly. The concensus is that all three lose or damage less than one percent of their packages and the differences between the companies varies in the tenths of a percent and the order can change month to month.
Different people have had different experiences with each company. While you may have good luck with one shipper, someone else will have a problem with the same shipper. So you're mad at USPS now and you're gonna use UPS. You'll be happy with them until they break or lose something. Then you'll use FedEx and like them until they screw up. All of them make mistakes.
In this particular case, it looks like your package was handled roughly. UPS may not be a better alternative. Popular Mechanics did a study using sensors in packages and found that UPS and FedEx packages were handled more roughly than USPS packages. USPS packages were handled more gently but were rotated more often.
Another thing to note is that UPS and FedEx use each other frequently. Open up any tractor trailor carrying UPS packages and you will also find FedEx packages in there. Look in any FedEx plane and you'll find UPS packages. There are regions where one company is more established and has a better infrastructure than the other so it's actually cheaper for one company to use the other. You won't get a FedEx package delivered to your door by a UPS driver (or vice versa) but getting a FedEx package that spent time traveling with UPS packages (or vice versa) is not uncommon.
As far as I know, USPS doesn't use UPS or FedEx and neither of those companies use USPS.
