Looking to buy a Cobalt
Hey guys, like the title says, I'm thinking about buying a Cobalt. I need something that gets better gas mileage than what I have now, and I've always liked the Cobalts. So, typical noob questions here. What should I look out for, what goes wrong, what should I expect with a used cobalt?
It's going to be a DD, I'd like it to be a 2 door and a manual, and I'm not sure if I want the non-SS or the SS (or the difference between the three different SS versions to be honest). I'm leaning more towards an SS, but I don't know at this point. I'm trying to gather information about the cars, so any help would be great or pointing me in the right direction. Also, prices. They're all over the place on craigslist and whatnot. Price is going to depend on what I sell my Wrangler for, but I'd like to stay somewhere between 6k and 7k(is that reasonable?).
Thanks guys, I'm looking forward to learning more about these!

If just for mileage and saving money but an ls 2.2, if you want power buy a ss/tc, I've owned my 2.2 ls and I had a 2.4 ss/na and buddy had a ss/sc. Favorite out of the 3 is the base ls. If I had to choose I'd but a ls or ss/tc bottom line

I'd say average price for a SC is like 8g's, stock. Average price for TC around 12g's, stock.
MPG difference? Negligible. Gonna get around the same city driving, and the TC would probably have the upper hand in highway driving due to gearing.
