Low Traction?

So whenever i'm in 2nd and i really get on it(14-16lbs boost guess cause i'm in ohio fail oh well) it almost always makes the tires break loose, and i get the annoying low traction message.. is this just due to moderate tires or does anyone else have this going on.. and what can i do to fix it outside of not getting on it in 2nd hah

This

2 clicks of the button to the right of your steering wheel and you are in Comp mode. no traction control

Yep. Also allows you to No Lift Shift when in Comp mode.

There's so much misinfo in here my head hurts

First, you only have to click it once to turn T/C off. Twice enables launch and keeps T/C off. If you hold it for 5 seconds it turns off T/C and ESC.

Secondly, you can NLS in any mode. GM stated that they did not want it to be mode specific incase someone didn't remember which mode they needed to be in, so you can NLS in any mode. I usually turn T/C off as a precaution because if I'm NLSing and the wheels slip, I don't want T/C kicking in and braking.

Third, at 14-16 psi it sounds like you're on the stock tune so if you're busting the tires free at that level you need better tires. If you ever get GMS1 or a 22-24 psi tune you will eat those tires up in no time.

It does in a handling sense, yes. I've autocrossed with ESC both on and off and the differences are noticable. With it on, the car will do its best to prevent you from spining out and stuff by braking certain wheels to induce more understeer.

I get ESC to kick in a couple times a month and my god can you feel it. It's nice that it keeps you from wrecking, but man does it feel weird. It's like the car gets punched in the chest when you are expecting it to corner hard.

Seeing as how this thread ended up on a NLS topic I have a question. How SLOW can you NLS without damage? I found too fast I'm binding and John said in my thread to slow it down a bit. If say I take like a full sec-1.5 sec to shift bouncing off the rev limiter, how and what is this going to hurt????

At first I thought he was looking to improve traction to be able to floor it in second gear and not lose traction but I guess he just wanted to spin tires without the message... you covered it all.
