Lowering Question

I have H&R 1.5 lowering springs on it my 07 Lt now. I would like to reduce the wheel gap space im looking at some 17 inch rims but im wondering if that will really fill that back up. I don't know if cutting a couple coils is the best option or something else.

If you can't afford to do it right, then do not do it at all.

17's aren't going to close the gap because your circumference should still be the same as stock.

This. And cutting coils is always a bad idea not to mention extremely unsafe. You say you want to reduce your wheel gap and that you can afford to spend money on it. Then why don't you
Also realize that low automatically means uncomfortable. You can't have both, especially not in a Cobalt ;-)

BC coils beg to differ.
They ride pretty damn nice for their price point and the lows you can get.

I'd love to stance my LSJ, but having to drive this thing in the winter makes it a no go...

After it's paid off (11 more months wooooot!!) and i get my second car, thats when mods like this are coming.

And OP..... DON'T CUT YOUR SPRINGS!! Unless you want a reason to wreck... THEN CUT EM UP! lol

Coilovers ya! But not just springs. I debated on just doing the springs, but after driving through a winter like last year, screw that! If I do change the suspension out, it will be for some coilovers.
