So I've had my 06 SS for almost 2 years now and it has 120k miles. I have noticed over the past month or 2 that the exhaust no longer sounds as good as it once did. The best way I can think to describe it is that it sounds "fartier." Car is all stock. Any ideas?

I have an 06 ss and the front down pipe being it's a 3" exhaust there's nothing you can buy from zzp I found a reputable exhaust place to just weld a piece in cost me $120 it's the wire mesh part that's starting to give way to an exhaust shop it's a fairly waxy fix

It's the wire mesh on the down pipe or at least it sounds like it take it to the muffler shop it's a 3" don't waste your time at amazon they have some but not for our year. No matter how they word it

CORRECTION ZZP does infancy Cary a new pipe it's the whole thing when all you need is just the wire mesh sorry about the confusion

Im 99% sure its ur flex pipe. The stock ones are garbage and rip all the time. Time to upgrade to a stainless downpipe
