My Door WONT Open!!!!!!

I felt so stupid this morning, because I had to get out of my passenger side of my car when I got to work. For some reason, my door wont even open when I unlock it. Its like stuck with the lock. The handles from the inside and out are all loose. So tomorrow im going to take it to the dealership. THIS SUCKS!

get inside and lock and unlock the door a few times. My door will do this once in a while, don't slam the door to hard and it shouldn't happen again.

I did that like 20 times yesterday and today. I fixed it yesterday by going outside and acutally putting the key in the hole and turning it. It fixed it, but then later on yesterday night, it happened again, and now nothing will work.

Does anyone know whats the cause of this? Its annoying

There are usually plastic clips that join the rods inside that actuate the locks, etc. Probably snapped in half, or the rod popped out.

that happened to me once where i couldn't open up the drivers side door but the dealer just greased up the hinges and added grease around the door where there are small holes (don't know exactly what they are) and it fixed the problem. was kind of embarassing when i was trying to open up my door in a parking lot and it wouldnt open

Thanks for the info guys. I didnt know this was a problem among other cobalts too. Well everything is fixed now. The dealer fixed everything. The costs of everything would of been $354.00. But my extended warranty covered that. And they just replaced both doors. They said I think, something about the "acuators". I dont know what he said. I was more concentrating on if I had to pay for that crap
