My Engine is done
#26
My dad was buying repairing then selling flood cars from hurricane katrina, and you just need to change the oil a few times, fill it, run it, drain it... even after it looks good, go for a drive t get the revs up a little, then drain it again. he did about 10 of these cars and every one that he fixed is still going. None had a supercharger so i dont know what the deal is on that... maybe get a new one to be safe? Good luck though man, sorry to hear about your luck.

*Sigh*, So long as it didn't bend any internals, and he gets it out of the fluids.. that engine is fine
PS... 34,000 miles put on the car since those were taken

I feel your pain. Luckily mine just dried itself out and there was no water in the fluids. There was about 4" of water in my floorboards and at its highest point, the water outside my car was up to the GM emblem. All because some dipshit forgot to open the dam to let the little decorative creek flow into the big ass lake next to the hotel I was staying at

What the hell possesses you people to drive through puddles that deep? Obviously the one with the red car and the sedan is un-avoidable, but jesus christ... If it's up to your DOORS why the **** are you still driving?!

Guess it's probably different down there than it is here too...we don't get floods and the roads are never flooded where I am from. I've only driven through deep water once when a water main break happened on the road to my work. It was across 2 lanes of the road... I got a running start, clutched in and idled through about a foot or so of running water. That was quite scary... lol
