My first thread....how exactly do I know what model/make I have?

Well this is my first thread. My question is how exactly do i know what make/model of my ss?

I got this car from my sister and she got it from her friend. Its still in good condition though. But I realised that there were different types of the ss. So i want to know which one I have.

This.

Or have someone look up the VIN number and see.

If it's an automatic you can eliminate SS/SC or SS/TC. Pics are still helpful though, I know around here some of the non-SS cars were sold by dealers as "SS appearance" cars.

You could start with what year it is. that would help. And pics of sister, of course. Pics of you if you're female.

can't tell from just the engine bay shot....but it looks like you either have a 2.4l naturally aspirated ss, or a 2.2l cobalt with a ss/na body kit.

Look at the photo right before the engine bay pic. Shows a pic of the car.

Do you have a full shot of the exterior. PROBABLY a 2.4 SS, but in 07 I believe it was they changed the engine cover on the 2.2l which makes it harder to distinguish.

EDIT: 2.4 SS. Sorry posted before the car pic!

Need a year, but judging from the plastic under the hood and the 17" polished wheels I'd say you have a 2.4 SS, guessing a 2006.

Edit: posted this before the external image got posted up
